> Design Considerations
Before your walls can be insulated, any problems with penetrating or rising damp must be resolved. Insulation should not be used to cover, hide or isolate damp as this could lead to serious problems in the future.
Before/After the installation of an Enewall system, visual inspections of architectural details designed to shed water should be made, to confirm that they are performing correctly. This is to ensure water is not leaking from external downpipes or gutters, such leakage could have a detrimental effect on the system
> Fire Performance
Fire barriers are required between all compartments in all buildings of differing occupancy and to prevent the spread of fire in multi-storey single occupancy buildings.
Continuous horizontal firebreaks are required on every building above three storeys; barriers should be formed after the 2nd storey / beginning of 3rd storey, and every storey thereafter.
